Lady Loggers season ends at state tourney
After a strong season, the 9-13 Libby softball team fell short at the state tournament against Billings Central Catholic and Corvallis. The trip to Butte marked the first state championship the Lady Loggers have participated in since 2018.

Helen Mar Bledsoe, 90
Heavenly Father gently took Helen Mar Bledsoe, who had her son at her side, by the hand and led her home to be with the Lord on Jan. 12, 2021, at the age of 90. Helen Mar was born July 27, 1930, in Berkeley, Calif., to Martin Clarence Buell and Helen Henrietta McCulloch Buell.

George Raymond Cochran, 87
George Raymond Cochran, 87, died on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019 at Libby Care Center. He was born at La Junta, Colorado into a family that raised cattle. Being a cowboy with his father and brother started his enthusiasm for the outdoors. The family moved to Hysham, Montana which instigated his love of the state. He developed lifelong friends and had great anticipation for his high school reunions.
