This hearing is to obtain public comments regarding the proposed application to the Montana Dept. of Commerce Community Development Block Grant-Public Facilities (CDBG-PF) program. The proposed project includes the installation of water mains and of treated water transmission main. The water main in the alley between Minnesota Ave and Utah Ave. and the new transmission main will be installed along the general alignment of existing pipes. New water mains along US Highway 2 will be installed within a new utility easement outside of MDT right of way with the exception of four new crossing perpendicular to the highway. The new looping main will also provide additional redundancy and improved pressures and fire flows to neighborhoods in West Libby.
