More precise legal is pending final survey. Purpose and Intent: The petitioners hereby petition the county to accept the described portion of 5th Street as a county road. Once it is declared a county road, portions of it can then be exchanged for easements over other private properties, enabling the road alteration (relocation) project to continue. With sadness, the family of Raymond Frank Dedic announces his passing on Dec. 20, 2018, in Libby, Montana, at the age of 88 years. Ray was born Oct. 25, 1930, to parents Agnes and William Dedic in Libby. Upon his graduation from high school, he enlisted in the Army, where he served in the Korean War. His time in the Army earned him a United Nations Service Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, an Army Occupation WWII Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. After serving a term in the Army, dad’s desire to travel the world led him to join the Navy.

Notice of Public Hearing Recommended Zoning Changes Monday July 8th, 2019, 6:00 PM Council Chambers-City Hall The City of Libby Planning Board and the Libby City Council will hold a joint public hearing on Monday July 8, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Council Chambers - City Hall. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments concerning the recommended zoning changes to the City of Libby's zoning district entitled Main Business District. At the public hearing the Planning Board will present its proposed changes which includes the creation of two new commercial districts, the Downtown Business District and Highway Commercial District; and changes to the text and map, including increasing the Business-Residential District area. A history of the process, the basis for the changes and a summary of the changes will be included in the presentation. All interested persons will be given the opportunity to ask questions and express opinions regarding the proposed changes. Copies of the proposed changes to the text and map are available at City Hall (952 E. Yvonne (Vonnie) Varney passed away on June 9, 2019, at the age of 90, with her husband at her side. She was cared for at the Libby Care Center in Libby, Montana, after she sustained a broken hip in March. She was born in Billings, Montana, to Howard (Butch) Paul and Alice (Huntington) Paul on November 22, 1928. She and her sister, Pamella, grew up in Billings. As an adult, Vonnie worked at the Gambles store in Billings as a clerk and bookkeeper.
