Burnt Peak Fire surpasses 1,000 acres
As the Burnt Peak Fire continued to grow this week, breaking early fire season records for the Kootenai National Forest, U.S. Forest Service and local officials briefed the public on containment efforts and attempted to quell rumors about evacuation notices.
