Troy softball battles at state, ends season 19-9
The Troy Trojans wrapped up a successful 2025 campaign at the MHSA State B/C Softball Tournament in Glasgow, finishing 1-2 in bracket play. Despite not placing, Troy finished the season with a strong 19-9 overall record and proved competitive at the state level.
Troy opened the tournament on Thursday, May 22, with a tough draw against a high-powered Manhattan squad and fell 15-0 in a three-inning mercy-rule game. Manhattan jumped out with eight runs in the first inning and never looked back, scoring seven more in the third.
Offensively, Troy managed four hits but couldn’t bring a run across. Addyson Fisher, Kirsti Jellesed, Tana Grant, and Kylie Cole each recorded a hit in the loss. Defensively, Troy struggled to contain the Tigers’ aggressive bats and plate discipline. Halle Wallace started in the circle and allowed 12 runs — six earned — over two innings, while Addyson Fisher pitched the final two-thirds of an inning.
