This summer, Downtown Libby is bringing back a sense of community connection with a new monthly event series: Libby Nights.

Held on the second Thursday of each month from June through November 2025, Libby Nights is designed to be a family-friendly evening out that highlights our local businesses and gives residents a reason to gather downtown.

There’s a certain magic to summer evenings in Libby. Maybe it’s the way the mountains hold onto the last bit of daylight, or how Main Street seems to slow down just enough for neighbors to stop and talk. It’s that feeling of being part of something—of belonging.

This year, we’re bringing that feeling back with Libby Nights. It’s more than just an event—it’s a way to rekindle our love for downtown, support local businesses, and spend time with one another in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

"I’ve always believed that strong communities are built in small, consistent ways—by showing up, supporting each other, and celebrating what makes our town special. Libby Nights is a chance to do just that," said Nicole Rogerson. "It's not a large-scale festival; it's a steady return to the kind of togetherness that defines us. We want to bring back that small town energy- where people run into old friends on the sidewalk and spend time supporting local shops and vendors.

Most businesses will be open from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for shopping, food, drinks and entertainment. Also planned are fun kids' activities including drop-off activities at the gym and the karate dojo, a mini RC race car area for the big boys and possibly some music and live entertainment to be held above the Libby Gym.

Each Libby Night will feature something a little different—specials, surprises, and seasonal treats—so stay tuned for updates. Let’s bring back the Logger spirit and make downtown Libby a gathering place once again.

The streets will remain open, so there’s no need to worry about parking. Just come as you are, bring your family and enjoy what downtown Libby has to offer. It’s time to make some new memories.

Libby Nights is seeking volunteers, ideas and energy to make each Libby Night unique and memorable. If you’d like to help or just want more information, please reach out to Nicole Rogerson at 406-283-1829 or send a message on Facebook to Kootenai Gifts.
