One man's thoughts on tourism dollars

To all who care about Freedom and Liberty,

We do not need tourists to support our towns and cities.

We have STATE CITIZENS already doing that via their commerce with local businesses, income [federal and state and local] taxes, property taxes and fees and every other stupid "assessments" city and county despots impose, thanks to the Montana Legislature passing one after another of "ordnances" AND "codes" [MCA] that are designed to "delegate" to smaller and smaller groups of tyrants who want to micro-manage our lives, whether inside or outside of any town or city, so we become essentially captive to ad hoc Home Owners Associations, which are only answerable to themselves...

Enough already. 

I want to know, for example, how the City of Thompson Falls can take out a loan for a sewer I oppose, without my signature (duly notarizes), and then tell me that I must pay a fee on MY property tax to pay off that loan? 

Property taxes are controlled by the County of Sanders, not the City of Thompson Falls.

To paraphrase the Montana Constitution (1972 as revised), "all power by right derives from the people." 

When did we, in Thompson Falls, get to vote for the sewer, or planning departmental dictats, or zoning (next on the horizon, if not already "passed" by 4 people on the City Council???

I NEVER signed a document assigning to any of our recent mayors - or any city council - in past 6 years ANY "power of attorney" take out a loan on MY behalf, to do such an extortion scheme.
