Lady Trojans softball celebrate Senior Day

The Troy Lady Trojans capped a busy week of softball action with three wins and three losses, improving to 15-6 on the season as they faced a challenging slate of opponents including Three Forks, Eureka and Ennis.

Saturday, following the varsity games, Lady Trojan seniors Autumn Fisher, Leslie Gravier, Tana Grant and Mahaila Gillespie were honored for their contributions to the program.

Troy opened the week on a dominant note with a 17-1 rout over Eureka on Tuesday, May 6. Halle Wallace earned the win in the circle, striking out five and allowing just four hits over six innings. Troy pounded out 14 hits, including multi-hit games from Addyson Fisher (2-4, 2 RBI), Kirsti Jellesed (3-6) and Kylie Cole (3-4, 4 RBI). 

The Lady Trojans ran into trouble in a Friday doubleheader against Three Forks. In the opener, Troy fell 17-1 as the Lady Wolves jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Addyson Fisher went 2-3 at the plate and pitched in relief.

In the second game, Troy showed more fight in a narrow 12-11 loss in a back-and-forth contest. Leslie Gravier had two hits and two runs scored, and Addyson Fisher had two hits as did Jellesed. 

Tana Grant and Ellie Borgmann added multiple RBI each. 

On Saturday, Troy dropped its third straight with a 14-10 loss to Ennis in a high-scoring affair. Kirsti Jellesed went 3-for-4 with two RBI to lead the offense. Addyson Fisher, Leslie Gravier and Ellah Wallace each knocked in multiple runs. 

Troy bounced back in the second half of Saturday’s doubleheader, rolling past Ennis 16-3 in five innings.

Leslie Gravier led the way with four hits and four RBI, and Addyson Fisher was 2-4 with two RBI. Jenika Meyer added two hits and scored four times. 

Gravier also pitched five strong innings for the win, allowing just three runs on five hits while striking out nine.
