It was a busy week for Class A track teams at the Top Ten Invite in Missoula on April 22 and the Whitefish-hosted ARM Invitational on April 26.

Capri Farmer and Polson Distance Girls Turn Heads

Libby freshman Capri Farmer showed maturity beyond her years, sweeping the 800 (2:24.68 PR) and 1,600 (5:18.72 PR) at the ARM Invite. She narrowly held off Polson sophomore Morgan Delaney, who placed second in both events and also claimed silver in the 3,200 at the Top Ten Invite with a personal-best 11:22.49.

Sophomore Cody Watson was fifth in the 1,600 while Rowen Sherbo was seventh at the ARM.

Other Field Event Highlights

Libby’s Tristan Andersen made his mark in both the javelin and high jump, winning the javelin with a season-best 165-4.5 and tying for first in the high jump (5-10).

Teammate Bergen Fortner was sixth in the triple jump and ninth in the long jump.

Libby hosted the Lincoln County Meet Thursday at the high school.

The middle school track and field meet is being held Friday at the high school.

Saturday, the Loggers will travel to Kalispell for the Archie Roe Invitational.
