Libby resident unveiling new book April 4 at library

The Libby branch of the Lincoln County Library is hosting two special events Friday, April 4.

At 11:30 a.m. on the main floor of the library, there will be a presentation and book signing from Lawrence “Smitty” Smith, a Libby resident of many years and former U.S. Forest Service employee. Smith's new book, “Sixty Years on a Line” talks about his experiences on trap lines, fire lines, survey lines, cruise lines”and much more. 

After talking about his book, he will be available for questions and there will be books available for purchase until 1 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Also, the Libby Friends of the Library book sale will be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

This month popular authors Anne McCaffrey, Dick Francis and Iris Johansen will be featured. There will also be picture reference books on American birds and a special display of cross-stich pattern books. 

In addition, the DVD section has been completely re-stocked. All purchases made at the sale are by donation, with all money received going to help support Library programs.
