Libby man allegedly tries to run car off road with partner inside
A 35-year-old Libby man is facing a felony charge of criminal endangerment and others after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Highway 37 and Florence Road in Libby on March 9.
Dale Orsborn Jr., is accused of felony criminal endangerment, assault of a partner/family member to cause bodily injury and disorderly conduct
According to police reports, a sheriff's deputy met with the alleged victim that day that reported that her boyfriend, Osborn Jr. had struck her in the face twice while she was driving. She also reported that Osborn said he wished to drive them both off the road, so he grabbed the steering wheel and attempted to do just that.
A witness said they observed Osborn shouting at the woman using “profane and quarrelsome language” while walking southbound on the highway. The witness added that Osborn appeared to attack the reporting party while she fled the vehicle.
A warrant was issued for Osborn’s arrest on March 9. He was jailed for an initial court appearance on March 10, where bond was set for $25,000. With these charges, he faces more than 10 years in jail and over $50,000 in fines. Osborn was released from jail and ordered to have no contact with the woman.
