Beverly (McNulty) Freese
Beverly (McNulty) Freese, 78, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, with loving family by her side.
Bev was born June 19, 1946, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to George and Bernice (Wentzel) McNulty.
In 1952, her family moved to Troy, Montana where Bev was raised with her family of 12 children. In 1962, Bev married Howard Orr and moved to Libby, Montana. They had two children; Coreena and Brent.
She later married Chris Freese in 1973. As the wife of an iron worker, Bev traveled with Chris where the bridge and building projects took them. Bev made many life long friends along the way. After Chris' retirement from the iron worker's union in 2002, Bev and Chris settled in Troy, Montana.
Throughout Bev's journey in life, she found herself on many bowling leagues where she loved and enjoyed the camaraderie of all of her friends. Bev loved cooking and enjoyed her time spent on many family campouts.
Halloween was one of her favorite holidays, because she loved to dress up. Even on other occasions she would dress up in some crazy costume that would totally get everyone laughing.
Bev was an avid card and dice enthusiast, never to turn down an opportunity to take quarters from friends and family. She often found herself amongst the bingo crowds. It was always a delight to hear what she thought about the success and defeat of her fellow bingo night players.
Most of all, Bev cherished her husband, children, grandchildren and her siblings. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bernie McNulty; three of her siblings: Wallace McNulty, Timothy McNulty and Phyllis McDonald, and brother, James McNulty.
Bev is survived by her husband of 51 years, Chris Freese, and her two children: Coreena (Orr) Muir [Dan] of Kalispell, MT; and Brent Orr [Amy] of Libby, MT; and four grandchildren: Melissa Reynolds, Melanie Taylor, Kelsey Orr and Brayson Orr. Surviving siblings: Ellen Adkins, Jean Jellesed, Mary Stephenson, Roger McNulty, Susan Byrd, Carol Eggers and Colleen McNulty; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held this upcoming spring.
