Feb. 12

Two deputies responded to a residence in the 30700 block of U.S. 2, Libby for an at-large dog killing chickens.

A driver was cited for driving on a suspended license for the fifth time.

Deputies assisted a Montana Highway Patrol officer transport a dog to the animal shelter.

A warrant arrest of Rusti Miller led to a felony charge for controlled substances.

A deputy responded to a residence on Bull Lake Road, mile marker 17, in Sanders County following a report of an armed woman threatening other people.

Feb. 13

The Libby Volunteer Fire Department and multiple first responders were on the scene of a vehicle fire on Albert Way, Libby.

A deputy was advised of a dogs running at large on Quartz Road, Libby.

A deputy investigated a report of someone harassing a neighbor on Arts Landing Road, Troy.

Several first responders arrived at the scene of a reported structure fire in the 1000 block of U.S. 93 North, Eureka, but the property owner reported the alarm was going off and the alarm company is working to fix it. No smoke or fire was noted.

A deputy performed a welfare check on a mother and a juvenile in the area of Lower Granite Creek Road and Granite Creek Road, Libby. Everyone was OK.

Multiple officers from the city and county teamed up to arrest Ashley Davis on an outstanding warrant in the 31000 block of U.S. 2, Libby.

A DUI traffic stop was reported in the 300 block of Meadow Creek Road, Fortine.

A mental subject was reported in the 200 block of Sometime Creek Lane, Libby.

Feb. 14

A sexual assault was reported in the 300 block of Ninth Street, Eureka.

Someone brought a dog to the animal shelter by a member of the public.

A single vehicle rollover crash on U.S. 2 near Terrace View Road, Libby, drew a response from Libby Volunteer Ambulance, Libby Volunteer Fire Department, Montana Highway Patrol, and county officers.

A person with a warrant for his arrest was taken into custody at the county courthouse.

A deputy completed an after-dark foot patrol on Libby Elementary School property.

Feb. 15

A traffic stop due to a failed headlight at the railroad tracks on Tobacco Road, Eureka, resulted in a DUI investigation.

Two officers responded to the 500 block of Park Street, Libby for a report of neighbors yelling at each other. It is an ongoing issue.

The Libby Volunteer Fire Department, Libby Volunteer Ambulance as well as officers from the county and city responded to the 4100 block of Highway 37, Libby for a structure fire.

Two deputies responded to a missing person report in the 100 block of  Autumn Road, Libby. The person was found and was OK.

Multiple first responders, including Troy Volunteer Fire Department and Troy Volunteer Ambulance were on the scene of a fatal traffic crash on Hunts Mills Road involving a train.

A man came to the lobby of the sheriff’s office to report his wife missing.

Four officers responded to the 100 block of Autumn Road, Libby for a mental subject.

Two deputies investigated a report of an order of protection violation at a residence on East Horseshoe Lane, Libby.

A deputy investigated a dispute over belongings in the 100 block of Independence Way, Eureka.

Feb. 16

Two deputies responded to a verbal domestic disturbance in the 12200 block of U.S. 2, Troy.

Two officers made a misdemeanor warrant arrest for dangerous drugs in the 300 block of Wards Road, Libby.

Feb. 17

Several first responders were at the scene of a car fire in the 200 block of Third Street East, Eureka.

An officer investigated an assault at the dollar store in Eureka.

A deputy investigated a burglary alarm at the local post office in Libby.

Feb. 18

A deputy helped a man locate his towed trailer and snowmobile.

An officer investigated an assault on Buckskin Trail, Fortine.

A deputy took a report about a hunting stand on private property where no permission was given to hunt.

Someone reported an assault in the 1800 block of Sophie Lake Road, Eureka that occurred in 2020.

A deputy investigated a report of an underage person vaping in the 300 block of Stateline Drive, Troy.

Feb. 19

A caller reported a vehicle flashing its lights and honking its horn in the 100 block of Pinkham Avenue North, Eureka.

A two-vehicle crash on Loon Lake Road, Trego, resulted in no injuries.

Three officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a home on Leisure Lake, Libby.

Libby Volunteer Fire Department, Libby Volunteer Ambulance and two deputies were at the scene of a traffic crash with injuries at the intersection of Rawlings Road and Reserve Road, Libby.

Feb. 20

A mental subject was reported in the 600 block of First Avenue East, Eureka.

A state FWP officer had to dispatch an injured deer on U.S. 93 North near Osloski Road.
