A criticism of spending for military parade
Dear Sens. Steve Daines, Tim Sheehy and Rep. Ryan Zinke,
We are writing to you to express our complete disgust with the Trump administration and his parade on June 14. Flag Day and recognizing the 250th Anniversary of the US Army are patriotic observances to be respected by all Americans.
But any moron can see through the real impetus of this ostentatious military display, is to satisfy the narcissism and political ego of one Donald J. Trump.
In a time of DOGE hypocrisy and when the number of homeless and war-torn refugees are growing worldwide, this a slap in the face to decency and America’s role on the world stage, coined by President Ronald Reagan, (borrowed from Jesus) to be “The shining city upon on a hill.”
Even in the United States (the richest nation on earth), persons are struggling to afford proper medical care and housing. Food insecurity remains an issue (especially for children and seniors).
Spending an estimated $45 to $60 million on this extravaganza, remnant of the worst authoritarian dictators in history, (Hitler, Mussolini, Kim Jong Un, et. al.) is absolute insanity.
Sadly, it has nothing to do with patriotism, freedom, or what America actually stands for.
All three of you have basically endorsed this nonsense by your silence, along with your colleagues in Congress. Millionaire Tim Sheehy ducked for cover by saying he was in the middle of branding season, which is an affront to any real working Montanan.
Unfortunately there is not much anyone can do at this point, other than pray for our nation.
We look forward to your generic and meaningless response, written by some paid staffer.
Thanks you for your interest.
