Shannon Joelle Kyes

Shannon Joelle Kyes, 25, of Kalispell, died June 2, 2025, after a brief illness. 

Born June 20, 1999, at Helena, Shannon was adopted at birth by Penny and Frank Kyes, of Libby, and joined brother Corey Robin Kyes.

Educated in Libby Public Schools, Shannon enjoyed listening to music, reading, writing, watching anime and riding her electric bicycle. She worked in food service at schools in Libby and at the Libby Senior Citizens Center. She moved to a group home in Kalispell where she was able to fulfill her dream of being independent.

Shannon is survived by her parents, Penny and Frank Kyes, Libby, Montana; grandmother Lois Kyes, Libby, Montana; aunt Wendy (Joe) Chopyak, Libby, Montana; uncle John (Diane) Kyes, Libby, Montana; aunt Diane (Jim) Schnetter, Columbia Falls, Montana; aunt Deana Edwards, Thonotosassa, Florida; uncle David Mazza, Park Ridge, Illinois; and numerous cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her brother Corey Robin Kyes; grandfather Marvin Kyes; grandfather Delbert Carr; grandmother Linda Carr and aunt Terri (Carr) Mazza.

Shannon elected the gift of life as an organ donor and her gift will save numerous lives. Her family encourages all who knew her to follow in her footsteps.

A remembrance of her life will be celebrated later this summer. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her name to the Libby Senior Citizens Center.
