Logger basketball squads fall to CFalls, Ronan

The Libby Logger boys and girls basketball teams each were 0-2 last week.

Tuesday, the boys squad fell at home to Bigfork, 56-35. The Vikings led 5-0 after the first quarter and took a 24-9 halftime lead. Bigfork got 25 points from Austin Savik, including four 3-pointers. 

Ryan Beagle was the only player to reach double-figures for the Loggers, leading the team with 12 points. Alderic Martineau scored seven, followed by Tristan Andersen’s five.

Saturday at Ronan, the Chiefs led 39-15 at halftime and shot 61% from the field in a 74-41 win. 

Aiden Rose led the Loggers with 10 points while hitting two 3-pointers. Isaac Lamere scored seven and Martineau had six points. Tristan Andersen and Beagle each had five while Kale Hall and James Woody each scored four.

For the Libby girls squads, they fell to Ronan Saturday, 61-28, and to Bigfork Tuesday, 75-8. 

In Saturday's game, Madison Vincent led the Loggers with 10 points. Kaydence Stanek and Hadleigh Wood each scored six.

Libby returns to action Thursday. The boys host Columbia Falls and the girls have to travel. Saturday, both teams are at home as Polson comes to town.
