Former high school principal pleads not guilty to assaulting student

Former Libby Middle High School Principal Jim C. Germany, Jr., pleaded not guilty to assault on a minor last week.

Germany, who resigned following the accusation, is facing a felony charge amid accusations he struck a student Dec. 9, 2024, during class. He entered his plea Monday, Jan. 13, in Lincoln County District Court.

Local attorney Ann German is representing Germany while Deputy County Attorney Jeff Zwang is prosecuting the case.
