WILD ART-Farmer's Market at Libby receives large gift
The Kootenai River Development Council recently voted unanimously to grant $10,000 to the new 501c3 nonprofit entity, The Farmers Market at Libby. This significant gift will cover some of the additional costs of doing business as the market has formed an independent corporation outside of the Chamber of Commerce, where it operated for six seasons. Members of KRDC and the Farmers Market Boards met at the newly announced Farmers Market location on the corner of Highway 2 and Idaho in front of the Asa Wood building. This new location was the result of a generous offer from property owner, Chris Noble of Noble Excavating. With the new Farmers Market season beginning on May 1, market organizers, vendors and customers are looking forward to seeing positive growth for this year.
