David J. Cole

David J. Cole passed away peacefully on Feb. 18, 2025, at his home in Libby with his loving wife by his side. 

He was born Oct. 5, 1942, in Traverse City, Michigan, but grew up in Libby, Montana. 

David began his military career entering the Army at the age of 17. He entered basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He then separated from the Army 20 years later in Wiesbaden, Germany. 

David then began his civilian career with the United Sates Air Force working as a computer specialist. He retired from the position 20 years later at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Throughout the years he was recognized with many military and civilian service awards for his hard work and dedication to the service of our nation.

David is survived by his wife, sister, daughter, stepsons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews. 

There will be a private Military Service for D. Cole, U.S. Army retired.
