Local woman pleads to DUI with child in car

A Troy woman accused of fleeing from police while driving drunk with an infant in the vehicle earlier this fall has been sentenced.

Rhayne Trinnity Norman, 21, entered guilty pleas Dec. 2 in Lincoln County District Court to felony criminal child endangerment and misdemeanor DUI. Other charges, including fleeing from police and disorderly conduct, were dismissed as part of a plea deal.

Monday, Feb. 10, Norman got a five-year suspended sentence on the endangerment charge and six-month term on the DUI, following the terms of a plea deal. She was also ordered to complete a substance abuse program.
