Margaret “Peggy” Moe
Our beautiful mother, grandma and great-grandmother, Margaret “Peggy” Moe, 94, passed away on Jan. 29, 2025, in Libby, Montana, with her loving family at her side.
Peggy was born in Burns, Wyoming, March 15, 1930, to Loren and Verda Deck Corbin. She lost her dad at the age of two and thereafter Wayne Wilson came into her life and helped raise her. The family subsequently moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where Peggy graduated from high school.
In the summer of 1947, the family relocated to Libby, Montana and found their first home in a two-room barn house at Elk Hill. While helping raise her new little sister, she stole the heart of and married the love of her life, Lloyd Moe, in July 1949.
Their first home together was property on Jerry Neil’s Cattle Ranch but shortly found home in the Libby and Crystal Lake area, where they raised a family of four children.
Together they had many little adventures around the creeks and lakes in the Happy’s Inn area with family time spent amongst many friends for picnics, fish fries and card games.
Peggy loved her garden and she loved to share her vegetables with everyone. She remained very sharp and was a keen adversary in any game she played, especially card games.
Easy to love and appreciate of every moment, she was particularly fond of and loved people, with every interaction treasured. She frequently wrote cards to her family expressing how much she loved them and sharing updates on how she was doing.
Seeing beauty in everything and reminding those around her the most important value in life: “Gratitude for loving relationships with family and friends.”
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Sr.
She is survived by her sister Arrah Lee; her children: Jon (Donna), Debbie (Mark), Kelly (Allan) and Lloyd Jr. (Heather); eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and endless extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at the Libby Christian Church. Arrangements are under the care of Schnackenberg Funeral Home of Libby.
