The Libby Park District, with support from the LOR Foundation, is thrilled to announce the inaugural Circle Swede Gravel Ride, a scenic and challenging cycling event set for Saturday, Sept. 13, in Libby.

This community-driven gravel ride invites cyclists to experience the stunning landscapes of U.S. Forest Service, state and private land while supporting development of local parks and recreation, and this year’s partner charity, Kootenai Pets for Life.

Participants can choose between two breathtaking routes starting and ending at J. Neils Park: a 35-mile loop or a 62-mile loop, both featuring gravel paths, hearty climbs and spectacular wilderness views.

Designed as a ride, not a race, the event emphasizes camaraderie and personal achievement. Riders will be supported by four aid stations along the route and will be rewarded by post-ride festivities featuring live music, food trucks and beverages from Libby’s own Cabinet Mountain Brewing Company.

The public is welcome to enjoy the post ride festivities, with live music scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Proceeds from the Circle Swede Gravel Ride will support Libby Park District and Kootenai Pets for Life, a local non-profit, volunteer organization providing shelter, assisting the community with spay and neuter, foster care, veterinary assistance and education.
