Libby Loggers softball slam Bonners Ferry, 10-0
A four-game losing streak is over for the Libby Loggers after a 10-0 win in six innings over Bonners Ferry Tuesday evening at Remp Memorial Field.
Maddi Willis tossed a one-hitter, struck out five and didn’t walk a batter for Libby (3-5).
Danika Allen’s 2-run home run in the first inning put the Loggers up early and Willis got more support throughout the game.
Weslee MacDonald had three hits and scored two runs. Allen, Peyton Waggoner and Bently Houston each had two hits. Teighler Parker and Houston each drove in two runs. Rachel Kosters also knocked in a run with a sacrifice bunt.
Libby is headed to Frenchtown this weekend for the Betty Paskey Tournament. Friday, the Loggers play Butte Central Catholic at 12:30 p.m. and Hamilton at 4 p.m.
Saturday, they play Columbia Falls at 9:30 a.m. and Stevensville at 3:15 p.m.
