Doris Lorraine Trussell
Doris Lorraine Trussell, 99, who lived her life here on earth for Jesus, is in Heaven dancing with Him and singing with the Saints!
She was born Jan. 14, 1926, in Elbon, South Dakota, to Charles (Chuck) and Elizabeth (Shorty) Bennett. Doris was the oldest of six children. She had five sons; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchldren; and great-great-great grandchildren. They will all miss her daily prayers for them.
Doris’ greatest achievements were her home Bible studies held over a period of many years. Numerous people were brought to the Lord and encouraged to continue living for Him. She also loved being a Sunday School teacher for teens and sharing God’s Word.
Doris received a degree in Theology from Liberty Bible Institute in Lynchburg, Virginia. She performed about a dozen weddings. She began preaching in Creston, British Columbia, Canada and retired from preaching, going back to holding Bible studies in her home until she passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
Her greatest desire in life was that her family would love and serve Jesus as she did.
A celebration of her life will be held this summer in the Troy area.
