Troy, Libby hosting several Easter Week events
South Lincoln County residents ready to celebrate Easter have plenty of choices.
It begins on Maundy Thursday at Libby Church of God at 6:30 p.m. with a traditional Communion and foot washing service.
The church, located at 1007 Utah Ave., will host a free breakfast at 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday followed by its Children’s Resurrection Celebration, then the Celebration Worship at 10:45 a.m.

Good Friday will see the Troy community’s first cross walk at 11 a.m. The meeting place will be at the Troy Christian Fellowship Church, 78 Lake Creek Road. The walk will end at Roosevelt Park with a worship service and a brief message.
Saturday will feature a pair of Easter egg hunts in Libby and Troy.
Libby Christian Church will hosts its annual hunt for 10,000 eggs at 11 a.m. Also, there will be family gifts and Krispie Kreme donuts.
In Troy, W.F. Morrison Elementary School will host an egg hunt for kids from 1-12 years of age.
Also Saturday in Troy, the Easter egg Rally Race, organized by the Troy Youth Foundation, will take place at 1 p.m. The event for kids from 0 to 18, will search for 12 hidden eggs in town. Those in the first 30 to take selfie pics with each egg then report to the activity center to win $10 cash and a bag of candy.
The first place winner claims $20 and a bag of candy.
On Easter Sunday at 7 a.m., Christ Lutheran Church is hosting a Sunrise service at Riverfront Park that is open to all.
There will be a fire to warm up by along with coffee and donuts. Participants are asked to bring a chair and to dress for the weather.
