Long-time Libby resident celebrates 100th birthday
Long-time Libby resident Betty Cole Ortega will celebrate her 100th birthday this Sunday, April 20. Troy resident Marie Alamo is Ortega's granddaughter and wanted to have a special birthday wish for her grandmother. Ortega, a military veteran, was a resident of Libby for several years and was a U.S. Post Service Post Master for a long time. Ortega's hobbies include gardening, reading, writing and poetry.
