A pair of wins by Capri Farmer and two top three finishes by Hailey Misner helped lead the Libby Lady Loggers to a third-place finish at Saturday’s Libby Invitational Track and Field Meet at Logger Stadium.

Farmer dominated the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs. In the 1,600, Farmer’s 5:24.24 was nearly 25 seconds ahead of Browning’s Peyton Eaglefeathers.

In the 3,200, Farmer’s 11:33.47 was 51 seconds ahead of Plains sophomore Marina Tulloch. Tulloch won the Montana Class B Cross Country title last fall. Farmer broke her school record in the 3,200. She first set the mark at the 2024 divisional in Columbia Falls with a time of 11:44.74.

Misner won the 100-meter dash in 13.71 seconds and was third in the 200-meter dash with a 28.66.

Senior Bergen Fortner was fourth in the 100-meters, but scratched in the 300. She also placed third in both the long jump and triple jump.

Libby sophomore thrower Sidnie Thompson had a pair of top four finishes. In the shot put, she was second with a heave of 31 feet, 5 1/2 inches, only behind Plains’ Alexis Deming’s throw of 36 feet, one-half inch. Thompson was fourth in the discus with a throw of 90 feet, five inches.

Troy junior Jaylee Meyers had a good day after placing third in the 800-meter run while teammate Cortenie Rogers was second in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump.

Class B Plains piled up four wins to place first with 86 points. Browning was second with 81 while Libby had 64.

In the boys meet, Bigfork dominated with 115 points, followed by Browning’s 86. Ronan and Eureka tied for third, Plains was fifth and Libby sixth.

The Loggers, led by two-time winner Cody Watson, did most of their scoring in the middle and long distance runs as well as the throws.

The sophomore won the 3,200 run in 10:07.80 and was second in the 1,600 in 4:46.73.

Junior Tristan Andersen was second in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 10 inches. In the triple jump, freshman Porter Hollingsworth was fourth.

In the 800, senior Rowen Sherbo was fourth and sophomore Colter Anderson was sixth. Sherbo was fifth in the 1,600. In the pole vault, junior Gabe Kosters was fourth at 9 feet, 6 inches. Ledger Fortner and Urijah Bache tied for fifth at 8 feet, 6 inches. Freshman Aden Parish was fourth in the 400.

The Logger 4x100-meter relay team of Fortner, Watson, Anderson and Sherbo was fourth.
