The Troy Trojans struggled to get going Tuesday afternoon as Columbia Falls rolled to a 17-0 victory in five innings during a league baseball matchup.

The Wildcats jumped out early with six runs in the first inning and never looked back, piling on runs in each of the five frames. Columbia Falls capitalized on 10 Troy errors while collecting nine hits in the contest.

Troy’s offense was held hitless by Columbia Falls’ pitching staff. Despite the final score, Carson Orr had a solid first inning on the mound in terms of contact allowed, giving up no hits. Orr walked four batters and had six unearned runs scored against him in his single inning of work.
