Troy man admits guilt in arson case
A Troy man accused of starting two fires last fall in the downtown area has pleaded guilty.
Clark Eugene Nelson, 77, pleaded guilty to one felony count of negligent arson with the risk of bodily injury or death March 24 in Lincoln County District Court.
A plea deal, agreed to by county Attorney Marcia Boris and public defender S. Charles Sprinkle, calls for a five-year suspended sentence. Nelson’s sentencing is scheduled for May 5.
