The end of a legacy: Kiwanis of Libby and Troy Club’s farewell
Service clubs have long been the heartbeat of community service and personal growth, fostering connections among individuals committed to making a positive impact.
However, there comes a time when even the most vibrant and purpose-driven clubs face the challenging decision to close their doors.
Kiwanis of Libby and Troy has a history filled with amazing community accomplishments and memorable moments. It’s the close relationships and the membership's fulfillment through their involvement we shall miss the most.
Unfortunately, there are simply not enough members to continue running our chapter. However, even as the club’s formal operations come to an end, we send out our sincere gratitude to the Libby and Troy communities and hope that its legacy can continue to inspire.
As the chapter prepares for its farewell, it is working to ensure the continuation of its traditions and programs.
It is with great appreciation that Kiwanis will turn its Koats for Kids program over the the Rotary of Kootenai Valley. The local Rotarians have graciously volunteered their time and oversight to continue the distribution of the remaining inventory of the Koats for Kids program as well as a commitment to maintain the program going forward.
Additionally, a portion of the remaining Kiwanis funds will be distributed to the Rotary to continue supporting the Unite for Youth and Spring Up Back to School Bash.
Finally, the remaining Kiwanis funds will be distributed to two of the local non-profit organizations centered around supporting our local youth: CASA of Lincoln County and Our Kids Christmas Program will both receive a donation of $2,500 each. All of whom embody the support of the community children as Kiwanis strived for.
