The Libby Loggers kept it close for one half, but Bigfork pulled away in the second for a 41-9 win Friday night in Libby.

The Loggers (1-3) dropped their third straight game. The Loggers head to Corvallis Friday night. The Blue Devils are 2-2 after beating Butte Central Catholic, 60-21. Their other win was against Browning (50-21). Their defeats were to Frenchtown (42-0) and Whitefish (21-20).

Against Bigfork, the Loggers trailed 14-7 at halftime.

Treker Hickey, who rushed for three touchdowns, scored on a 40-yard run in the first quarter to make it 7-0.

The Loggers answered with a TD later in the first on a 3-yard run by Bo Miles. Danny Waletski’s kick tied it at 7-7. Miles had a long run to open the drive, moving the Loggers into Viking territory. A 16-yard catch by Isaac Lamere moved the ball to the 26 before Tristan Andersen’s 9-yard run moved the ball to the 3.

The teams traded punts before Hickey scored again with 3:41 left to make it 14-7. Libby had a chance to tie the game late in the half, but a few missed passes ended the threat at the Bigfork 32.

The Loggers only second-half score was on a safety.
