| September 20, 2024 7:00 AM

Lincoln County first responders were on the site of a single vehicle accident Tuesday evening on U.S. 2, about 20 miles south of Libby.

Members of Libby Volunteer Ambulance tended to a person who was riding a three-wheel motorcycle, also known as a trike.

He was taken from the scene to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center.

Members of the county Sheriff's Office and Montana Highway Patrol also worked at the scene. Libby Volunteer Fire Department also responded.

MHP Trooper Bryce Ford said a Libby man was driving a 2024 Harley-Davidson Trike when it went off the road.

Wednesday morning, Ford told The Western News he wasn't sure how the accident occurred because he hadn't yet spoken to the victim or a witness.

First responders also worked at the scene of a vehicle accident Thursday morning on U.S. 2 near Saverite South.

A small, white vehicle suffered significant rear-end damage.
