Aug. 30

A traffic stop on Highway 37 at Stone Mountain Road resulted in a driver being cited for not having a driver’s license, no insurance nor registration.

Several first responders worked at a traffic crash with injuries on U.S.2 at the state shop, Libby.

A deputy investigated a possible assault with a vehicle at the intersection of Cabinet View Country Club Road and Bockman Lane, Libby.

A traffic stop on U.S. 2 near Darsow Road revealed someone driving while intoxicated.

A juvenile problem was reported in the 600 block of E. Missoula Ave., Troy.

Aug. 31

Three officers responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of Mountain Meadow Road, Libby. It was a verbal argument between a husband and wife, but no crime occurred.

A deputy investigated the theft of a wallet and subsequent forged check in the 3300 block of Kootenai River Road, Libby..

An assault was reported on Trails End Road, Eureka.

A report was made to law enforcement about a pawned firearm with an ATF hold on it.

Someone found narcotics at the Country Inn, Libby. An officer responded to the scene.

Officers responded to the 100 block of City Service Road, Libby, for a 911 hangup and a suspicious vehicle.

Sept. 1

A young man in his 20s was reported walking around in his underwear in the 200 block of Spencer Road, Libby.

A deputy investigated a report of someone burning garbage in the 100 block of Pioneer Road, Libby. On Sept. 2, a second report of illegal burning resulted in a citation being issued. A day later, more officers responded for more reports of illegal burning.

A package delivered to a residence in the 100 block of Vicks Road, Libby, was reported stolen.

A mental subject was reported on Garrison Road, Troy.

A mental subject was reported in the 100 block of Frazey Loop, Libby.

A woman sought a welfare check for her 81-year-old brother at a home on Champion Haul Road. He was found and was OK.

A deputy responded to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Billadeau Road, Libby.

Several officers answered a call about a domestic disturbance on Haven Hill Lane, Troy. Mikealla Newton was arrested for partner or family member assault.

An assault was reported in Roosevelt Park, Troy.

A controlled substance problem was reported in the 600 block of E. Missoula Ave., Troy.

Sept. 2

A woman called to report a man on her property on Rustic Avenue, Libby, who refused to leave. He had a warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court, was arrested and jailed.

A reported crash involving a motorcycle and a deer on Pipe Creek Road, Libby, did not result in any injuries.

A report was made about fireworks being used in the areas of Bull Lake Road and Milnor Lake Road.

A mental subject was reported in the 500 block of California Ave., Libby.

Sept. 3

Several officers responded to a trespass call in the 100 block of Frazey Loop, Libby.

A crash at the intersection of West 6th St., and E. Commerce Way turned out to be DUI related. No injuries were reported.

Sept. 4

A reported dog bite at the Historical Village in Eureka resulted in the canine being quarantined. Medical transport was not needed.

Prisoner transports involving Flathead County and the state prison in Deer Lodge were handled by two deputies.

A screaming woman was reported in the 100 block of California Ave. , Libby.

A suicidal juvenile was reported on Jackson Lane, Troy.

A suicide was reported in the 300 block of Conifer Road, Libby. Two officers responded.

Many, many warnings were issued for drivers operating without headlights or taillights.

Officers and ambulance units responded to a traffic crash with injuries at the intersection of Warland Creek Road and Highway 37.

A wallet was found at the intersection of Dakota Ave. and E. Spruce St., Libby, but the money was gone.

Sept. 5

Two officers handled a threat report in the 100 block of Education Way, Libby.

Cattle on Highway 37 at mile marker 57 were reported in the evening hours.

Three officers reported to the end of Mineral Ave., Libby, for a possible suicide situation with a man laying next to the train tracks.
