The Kootenai High School Golf Invitational saw a very soggy beginning Thursday in Eureka that offered much better conditions Friday at Cabinet View Golf Course.

Players from several northwest Montana schools slogged through a drenching rain Thursday at Indian Springs Ranch Golf Course. While Friday was cool, it was also sunny.

In the boys event, Polson’s Max Milton was the medalist after shooting a two-day total 140. He bested Corvallis’ Brady Powell by six strokes.

Corvallis won the team title with 619 strokes, well ahead of Whitefish’s 656. Libby was last with 928.

Easton Peterson led the Loggers with 213, good for 49th. Senior Teague Thompson was 50th with 221, Degan Quinn was tied for 51st with 225, Fox Hayden was 54th with 265 and Noah Brothers was 55th with 289.

For the girls, Bigfork’s Keni Wade earned top honors with 161, three strokes ahead of Hamilton’s Cameron Burnette.

Addison Skranak led the Loggers with a 237, good for 26th, and Lucy DeShazer scored 250, taking 29th.

The Logger golf teams are back in action Saturday at Hamilton. The divisional tournament will be Sept. 26-27 at the Old Works Golf Club in Anaconda.
