Robert (Bob) Alvin Wilson

Robert (Bob) Alvin Wilson passed away suddenly on Aug. 20, 2024, in Libby, Montana at the age of 95. 

He was born on April 27, 1929, in Santa Barbara, California, to Marion and Bessie Coy Wilson. Bob retired from the Los Angeles County Road Department as a heavy-duty mechanic. 

In 2004, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of living in the mountains when he moved to Libby, Montana. He loved camping, gardening, fishing and square dancing. His happiest days were spent on his riding lawnmower, mowing his lawn.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jo Wilson; daughters, Cathy Wells (Sam) and Linda Butzke (Don); son, Bill Wilson; stepchildren, Darla Strong, and Dennis Russell (Laura); sister, Shirley Pellegrini; grandchildren, David (Sol), Scott and Kevin Butzke, Cory Wells, Stacie McGraw (Chris), Ben and Sarah Farber, Stefan and Jessica Strong; and great-grandchildren, Shawn Butzke, Isaac Farber, Chloe McGraw, Journey, Vella and Vlad Wells. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bruce Wilson; daughter, Carol Farber; grandson, William Strong.

A celebration of life will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, at The Antlers Restaurant in Libby.
