Aug. 12

A person was reported missing in the 44000 block of U.S. 2, Libby.

An officer investigated a burglary after some storage units next to the Venture Inn were broken into.

A disorderly man in the 300 block of W. 2nd St., Libby, got the attention of officers. He was taken to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center for an involuntary hold and evaluation.

Aug. 13

A woman called to report she believed she was being followed in Fireman’s Park, Libby.

Aug. 15

Someone called to report a male driver doing donuts in the gravel driveway at the intersection of Beachward Trail and Waterfront Road, Troy.

A deputy investigated a report about a man who continued to trespass on private property in the 2200 block of River Road, Troy.

A traffic stop on U.S. 93 near Meadow Creek Road resulted in a warning for trailer lights and possessing THC in the passenger area.

County deputy Ben Fisher stopped to assist a broken-down motorist on U.S. 2 at mile marker 25.

Aug. 16

An initial investigation into a possibly drunk driver turned into a domestic violence inquiry. Three officers looked into the incident in the 100 block of E. Spokane Ave., Troy.

Two officers responded to the 400 block of Park Street, Libby, following a report of a man clad in underwear trying to enter a home.

A deputy responded to a report of a problem with explosives in the 10600 block of Yaak River Road, Troy.

Deputies took a report of a missing female in the 100 block of Ski Road, Libby.

Two officers investigated a possible assault at a bar in the 200 block of Mineral Avenue, Libby.

A traffic stop for an invalid registration on U.S. 2 near Port Boulevard resulted in two arrests for possession of illegal narcotics.

Jaymen Lauer was arrested for DUI, first offense, following a traffic stop for unsafe driving in the 1300 block of Minnesota Ave., Libby.

A deputy investigated a report of a stolen vehicle from Happy’s Inn.

A missing person was reported in the 700 block of Commerce Way, Libby.

The alleged victim of an assault at a bar in the 300 block of California Ave., Libby, didn’t want to pursue law enforcement action.

A call about a possible fight in the 200 block of Mineral Avenue, Libby, resulted in an arrest for disorderly conduct.

Three officers responded to an assault in the 100 block of E. Spokane Ave., Troy.

Aug. 17

Someone found drugs in the 1100 block of U.S. 93, Eureka, and turned them into law enforcement.

Multiple deputies responded to a report of a disorderly man at the fish pond in Libby.

An assault was reported at the county jail, Libby.

Two deputies assisted a woman with a mental health crisis in the 23900 block of U.S. 37, Libby.

Aug. 18

Multiple officers were in a high-speed chase in the 100 block of Ski Road after an attempted traffic stop. The pursuit ended in a crash. Ambulance units also responded.

Multiple officers responded to a fight in the 13200 block of U.S. 2.

Search and rescue units were called to Rocky Gorge and Lake Koocanusa to help a person in need.
