Whether you're looking for a family-friendly trick-or-treat or something with a bit more of a scare factor, the area has something for everyone.
The thrills begin Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Mercantile building where Libby’s House of Horror event will run through Halloween night.
Admission is just $2 or two cans of food, with all proceeds benefiting the Libby Food Pantry. The haunted house will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night and is sure to provide spine-tingling fun.
One of the highlights of the celebration is the long-running store-to-store trick-or-treat event in Libby, organized by the Libby Area Business Association.
On Thursday, Oct. 31, Mineral Avenue, from Timberline Auto Sales to the Keep, will be closed from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to make way for costumed kids and families, who will wander from store to store collecting candy. Businesses outside the area are encouraged to join in on the fun by setting up booths along the street.
Alongside the store-to-store event, the Libby Christian Church will host a trunk or treat from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., offering games, candy, and free food for all.
There will also be a trunk or treat organized by the Rotary Club of the Kootenai Valley from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the parking lot at 724 Louisiana Avenue (Libby Public School administration building), where visitors can enjoy treats, games and free hot dogs.
In Troy, the Troy Youth Foundation will host a trunk or treat from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at the Troy Activity Center parking lot.
