Hundreds of vets attend Libby Stand Down
Last weekend, Libby’s Memorial Center hosted the 26th Northwest Montana Stand Down.
Community Outreach Specialist Cinnamon Davis-Hall, representing the Northwest Montana Veterans Food Pantry, said on Saturday they served 444 veterans, gave 39 haircuts and 67 food boxes.
“It was a pleasure to serve the ones who have served our country,” Davis-Hall said. “The Northwest Montana Veterans Food Pantry’s mission is giving a helping hand up to veterans and their families.”
Veterans could also get their flu shot as well as visit multiple booths and tables to find resources and support, including employment, legal, aging services, transportation, housing, counseling, suicide prevention and energy.
Other items included hygiene products, clothing, essential daily items and pallets of dog and cat food.
