Sen. Cuffe: Sheehy will protect Montana healthcare, VA benefits
Tim Sheehy will always protect rural hospitals, Montanans with pre-existing conditions, and Medicare benefits for our seniors. Tim Sheehy is committed to protecting and increasing Montanan’s access to high quality, affordable health care.
A decorated and Purple Heart vet himself, this Navy Seal will fight to fix the broken VA system and get veterans the timely care where they need it. He will fulfill the promise our nation made to our veterans.
Make no mistake, I heard Tim Sheehy speak those words! He laid the whole picture out at public meetings all over Montana in recent days.
Tim Sheehy is the real deal! The genuine article! A war hero, father of a young family, creator of jobs, founder of a business that saves soldiers, a pilot in his firefighting water bomber airplanes!
He is running against Jon Tester, a desperate man saying desperate things and spreading outright lies, fear mongering, and misleading Montanans—particularly on healthcare. After so many decades in office, I would expect Jon Tester to run on his record. Instead, this over the hill politician launches an exaggerated and negative tirade. Maybe he’s trying to cover his own voting record.
Tim Sheehy brings the most refreshing personality to Montana politics I have seen in a half century! Montanans appreciate his direct, frank statements, his honest positions, his love for his young family who often travel with him. Old or young, we appreciate his direct gaze, his obvious concern about our future.
I personally know Tim Sheehy. We first met several years ago when I was arranging a major PNWER convention of international legislators at Big Sky Resort. He provided a special tour of his large operation and products. I was impressed with a radar interceptor that would divert rockets away from US soldiers on patrol. Selling that part of his business brought him substantial wealth.
A few years later we talked at length about his future and his position on many issues, when he invited me to Kalispell in 2023. We visited, one on one, for three hours beside a fleet of water bombers. Unaware he was in the cockpit one day earlier, I had watched Sheehy in a bright yellow airplane scooping water from Lake Koocanusa.
I am 77 years old, so I hold personal interest in Medicare and Social Security, and in taking care of injured and ill veterans. I trust this man! He is a shaker and mover. He is the future we need!
