Sept. 13

Three officers responded to a Central Avenue residence in Eureka after someone reporting hearing footsteps outside the home. No one was found.

A motorist was cited for driving on a suspended or revoked license and warned for failing to dim high beams during a traffic stop on Highway 37.

A theft call on Ridge Loop Road, Rexford, turned out to be a neighbor picking up his package that was delivered to the wrong address.

A deputy responded to a Cecil Drive residence in Troy for a mental subject.

A man called to report a possible order of protection violation at a location on Highway 37.

The traffic stop of a speeder driving 14 miles per hour over the limit on U.S. 93 in Stryker revealed the motorists’ license was suspended, had no insurance and an open container violation involving THC.

Three officers responded to the 33900 block of U.S. 2, LIbby, for a report of a mental subject.

Two officers investigated a cold crash on U.S. 2 in the Troy area.

Two deputies responded to Osprey Landing after someone called to report a person pointing a gun at another.

Three officers and David Thompson Search and Rescue answered a call at the Keeler Rattle Warming Hut about a missing huckleberry picker. 

Sept. 14

A DUI involving alcohol or drugs on Highway 37 near Black Lake Road, Rexford, drew the response of several officers, the Eureka Volunteer Ambulance Service and Eureka Volunteer Fire Department.

A deputy responded to the 300 block of Milnor Lake Road, Troy, for an unattended death.

A deputy handled a call on Timber Lane, Libby, for a possible vehicle repossession.

Sept. 15

Someone called about a barking dog on Rose St., Libby, shortly after midnight.

Two deputies looked into a theft report on Bear Creek Road, Libby.

Three dogs were reported running at large on Barnaby Lake Road and Terning Drive, Eureka.

Caleb Kelso was arrested for partner or family member assault following a call at Keeler Rattle Road and Lime Butte Road, Troy. Troy Volunteer Ambulance, two deputies and a U.S. Forest Service officer responded to the scene.

The county Crisis Response Team and three officers responded to the 400 block of Doak Creek Road, Libby, for a report of threats being made.

A deputy handled a disgruntled employee call in the 500 block of U.S. 93 North, Eureka.

A caller reported the theft of a purse from an unlocked car in the 300 block of Valley of the Moon Road, Troy.

Someone reported a camper window being shot out while it was unattended at mile marker 2 on U.S. 2, Troy.

A hunter reported a lost handgun on Granite Creek Road and Prospect Creek Road, Libby.

Sept. 16

A deputy investigated an assault in the 31700 block of South Fork Pipe Creek Road.

A driver was warned for failing to slow down or move over for an emergency vehicle on U.S. 93 South and Glen Lake Road, Eureka.

Sept. 17

An officer warned a driver for excessive speed in a school zone on Sixth St. East, Eureka.

An officer investigated a report of an elderly person being scammed using gift cards at a residence on Champion Haul Road, Libby.

A missing person in Souse Gulch, Libby, was found by a deputy.

An officer investigated a report of check fraud in the 600 block of Treasure Ave., Libby.

Libby Volunteer Ambulance, several officers and Libby Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash at mile marker 52 on U.S. 2, south of Libby.

A deputy looked into a call about a threat to kill a dog in the 100 block of Serenity Lane, Rexford.

Sept. 18

A deputy responded to a call about the unauthorized use of a credit card at a Star Road, Troy, residence.

A man told a deputy he shot his neighbor’s dog because it attacked his chickens on Reserve Road, Libby.

The Bull Lake Fire Department and three officers were at the scene of a fire in the 25100 block of Bull Lake Road.

A deputy investigated a runaway juvenile from Harmony Lane, Fortine.

Sept. 19

Someone reported child abuse or neglect in the 500 block of Third Ave. East, Eureka.

Libby Volunteer Ambulance, Libby Volunteer Fire Department and three officers responded to Shaugnessy Road and U.S. 2 for a traffic crash with injuries.

Nickolas Sims was arrested in the 5100 block of West Kootenai Road, Rexford, on a felony warrant for assault with a weapon and partner or family member assault.

Someone reported a violation of an order of protection in the 200 block of Avenue B, Libby.
