In Fortine, both candidates, Kevin Talcott and Alan J. Erwert, won by acclimation. That was the case for Pamela Fuqua for the Yaak trustee position, Veronica D. Langton for McCormick and Fawnette R. Richard for Trego.

Lincoln County Elections Administrator Melanie Howell said in a statement to The Western News that the elections went smoothly.

“These ballots were all hand counted as each school had a resolution for the method of election and we generally want to hand count for smaller elections,” Howell said. “Each school had some extremely amazing judges that worked very diligently on getting accurate counts to me as the night went on. I am very pleased on how smoothly things went and very thankful for all of our election judges and the wonderful clerks at each of the schools for their parts in yesterdays election.”
