Wild and Scenic Film Festival showcases splendor, adventure
The Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness is hosting the 22nd Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint, Idaho on Friday, March 22.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Pacific time.

The Festival will feature a curated collection of nine films about our natural world and inspiring stories of people who find solace and adventure with in it. It is a celebration of wild places, human resilience and communities built on compassion.
The festival will include the journey of Katie Veteto as she learns how to “drive sweep” down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. You’ll see India Wood buck the traditional way of recreating while she strikes a novel path across the state of Colorado. We’ll celebrate Apayauq Reitan’s journey as the first out transgender woman to complete the legendary Iditarod sled dog race across Alaska.
Ticketholders can also look forward to some amazing raffle prizes and Super Star Supporter ticket holders are invited to a hosted pre-event reception at Eichardt’s Pub.
The raffle prizes will include gear from Six Moon Designs, a springtime flyover of the Scotchmans in a Cessna 185, baskets from Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters and Outdoor Experience, original artwork and more. You don’t want to miss getting your very own Ed Robinson original!
This is the fifth year the Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness is hosting the festival locally.
All proceeds from the night will go toward trail building, outdoor education and keeping goats wild in the Scotchmans. Every ticket purchased will be helping to keep our local wild lands open for hikers, hunters, anglers and everyone else looking to explore our rugged backyard.
