Stella Ann (Waggener) Jenkins

Stella Ann (Waggener) Jenkins, 101, of Libby, Montana, died peacefully in her sleep March 3, 2024.

Stella was born May 3, 1922, in Kalispell, Montana to Raymond and Velma (Greer) Waggener.

After graduation from high school, Stella married Ray Jenkins on Jan. 1, 1939. The couple moved to Libby in 1961, where they raised their three children. She is survived by her children Tom (Cathy Ann), Bob (Kathy), and Jo Ann (Phil) Maston; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Stella worked as bookkeeper in the family business and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She was active in many groups: Rainbow Girls, P.E.O., Libby Woman’s Club, Daughters of the Nile, Hospital Auxiliary, Senior Citizens and the Memorial Center. 

She enjoyed traveling to the Holy Land and throughout Europe. She was an avid reader and bridge player.

Per her request, there will be private family graveside services at the Conrad Cemetery.
