Did you know...

| March 1, 2024 7:00 AM

Lincoln County libraries are busier than ever before, providing opportunities to meet, explore and discover the world of books and beyond.

In 2023 the three libraries of Lincoln County supported more than 7,600 cardholders, mailed almost 4,000 books to Lincoln County children participating in Dolly Parton's 'Imagination Library' program, checked out more than 61,000 in print materials and an additional 17,500 in e-materials.

Library staff were able to offer more than 700 programs with a total attendance of almost 17,000 people of all ages.

What does the library mean to you and your family? What programs or services are important to you and your community? What do you most love about the library?

Even if you don't use the library much yourself, it provides vital services for the wide-ranging communities of Lincoln County. In recent years, Lincoln County libraries have been challenged by budget reductions and loss of staff as the county continues to grow and demand more from the libraries.

As the library explores different funding options for the future, please contact your county commissioner and let them know how much you value the library.

County commissioners are currently accepting written public comments regarding the library through March 4.

Please take a few minutes to put your thoughts in writing, and send them to:
