Troy's new Town Pump a hit with locals
After several construction delays, the new Town Pump in Troy opened on June 13, 2024.
Town Pump has operated a store in Troy for more than 52 years. The new store replaces a smaller building that was built in 1989.
Ground was broke for the new store in late 2021, but delays pushed back the anticipated opening date of sometime in the summer of 2022
With 8,000 square feet of space, the new convenience store allows for greater product offering of snacks, candy and food items. Thirty-eight (38) cooler doors feature a wide selection of waters, soft drinks, beer and wine.
The Stonehouse Deli and Coffee Co. features a wide variety of food items prepared from scratch on site.
The “open kitchen” concept will allow customers to view the preparation of salads, sandwiches, wraps and breakfast items. The deli area will also offer grab-and-go items like assorted fresh brewed coffees, cappuccino, fountain drinks, nachos, popcorn, hot dogs and fried chicken.
For vehicle needs, the location offers a full selection of Exxon fuel products at 16 fueling stations. The Pump It Up Rewards program can save members 5 cents per gallon every day at any Town Pump statewide. Rewards members can also earn and redeem points and get member-only deals on in-store items.
“It took longer than we would have liked to complete construction and open this new store,” said Town Pump’s Director of Corporate Communications, Bill McGladdery. “Our district manager, Trina Austin, store manager Joe Crowe, and our Troy team are excited to introduce the new Town Pump to the Troy community and tourists."
The older store building is scheduled for demolition the week of June 24 and the space will be used for an underground propane storage tank, dumpster enclosure, and parking.
The Troy Volunteer Fire Department took advantage of the vacant structure on Saturday, June 15, to do some training.
Tom and Mary Ann Kenneally started Town Pump in 1953 with one gas station in Butte. The Montana-based company now owns convenience stores, casinos, hotels and car washes across the state.
