Free tennis clinics at Libby Community Courts

Free tennis clinics are being offered again this summer by U Serve Libby Inc., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, on Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Libby Community Courts for grades 3-8. 

Rackets are provided. 

Those attending are asked to wear non-marking athletic shoes and bring a water bottle. The first clinic begins Tuesday, June 18, and ends Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Kootenai Forest Stakeholders meeting June 20

The Kootenai Forest Stakeholders Collaborative will hold its second quarter annual meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 20. 

All members of the public are welcome to join and observe the meeting, which will be held in person and virtually, using the Zoom information below. If you are joining us in person we will be meeting at the Flathead Valley Community College in Libby.

The agenda includes a panel discussion on the Wilderness Act anniversary, a grizzly bear update by Wayne Kasworm, committee updates in education and outreach, funding, recreation, legislative and fire safety workshops.

Libby residents named to Carroll College dean's list

Two Libby residents were named to the Carroll College 2024 spring semester dean’s list. 

They are Braylin Brooks and Jenavie Hammond.

To be included on the dean’s list, a student must receive a 3.5 grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale and take at least 12 graded credits in a semester.

Heritage Museum to host art exhibit July 1-31

The Heritage Museum will host an art exhibit July 1-31 in the Tower Gallery of the museum. 

This annual event, which follows the quilt exhibit and precedes the photography exhibit, is an opportunity for local artists to soar in the City of Eagles.
