Libby Library book sale June 7

The Libby Friends of the Library will have its Book Sale next from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 7, in the book sale room downstairs at the library.

This month’s specials include presents for Father’s Day and a new collection all about automobiles! There is a collection of science fiction novels as well as a new wilderness section. 

Purchase of items is by donation, with all money received going to support programs for our library.

Cabinet View Women's Golf results

The Cabinet View Women’s Golf met May 29 for a game of “Bingo, Bango, Bongo.” 

The game consisted of points gathered by 1 point first on the green, 1 point closest to the pin, and 1 point first in the hole. 

Barb Mee won Flight A and Donna Havens won Flight B. Flight A low gross was Barb Mee , and Connie Stantus in Flight B. Low net in Flight A was a tie between Dee Wright and Nancy Hull. Phyll Mackey was low net in Flight B.

On June 5, they met for a fun game of “Mutt and Jeff’ (Combined gross score on pars 3 and 5s for the win). 

The Flight A winner was Dee Wright and Connie Stantus won Flight B. Flight A Low Gross winner was Dee Wright and Shirley Chase won Flight B Gross. Nancy Hull took Low Net for Flight A and Connie Stantus took Low Net for Flight B. 

Dee Wright had a birdie and a chip-in on No. 13! 

All women are welcome to join us for a fun game of golf each Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.

Heritage Museum annual meeting

The Heritage Museum will hold its annual meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the Heritage Museum Cookhouse.

Agenda items will include an annual president’s report, treasurer’s report and an election to fill one board position. Nominations from the floor will be accepted prior to the election.

Members are encouraged to attend. Each member (18 or over) is entitled to vote on matters submitted to a vote of the members provided they have attended at least three meetings within 12 months prior to the vote and they have paid their dues.
