Minnie “Becky” Boothman

On Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the age of 85, Minnie “Becky” Boothman entered her heavenly mansion, comforted by friends and family in her home in Libby, Montana. 

She was born Feb. 4, 1939, in Powers Lake, North Dakota, to Harry and Verna (Barker) Edwards.

Minnie married Billy Bob Boothman on Feb. 4, 1956. She was the matriarch of her family. She worked as a wilderness cook, S & S Logging, at the mill and Libby Cab. She enjoyed her family, drawing, swimming, singing, telling stories, going to church, visiting, riding horses, gardening, going for a drive, exploring and getting lost, and sharing the Lord.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; her devoted husband; sisters-in-law Annie Williams, Millie Johnson, Zelba Mae; son-in-law Bill Waller; nephews Glen Stewart, Steve Johnson, Jaret Goss; niece Pattie Turner; and great-grandsons Isaiah, Donte, Gregory Glenn and Tyler.

Survivors include sons William “Timber” Boothman, Timothy Boothman and Terry Boothman and wife Cindy all of Libby; daughters LaVerna Thorgaard and husband Tom of Elmo, Linda Cureau and husband Paul of Roundup, and Laurie Waller of Libby; a very special sister Joyce Goss and husband Dale and sister-in-law Marilyn Edwards all of Libby; 26 beloved grandchildren; 63 cherished great-grandchildren; 21 adored great-great-grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at Schnackenberg Funeral Home in Libby. Services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at Libby Christian Church. A reception will follow the service.
