Gerald “Jerry” Robert Holiday

Gerald “Jerry” Robert Holiday was born to Robert and Amy Holiday of Libby, Montana on July 24, 1940. He passed away on July 5, 2023. 

Jerry was preceded in death by his sister Karen Michels. 

He was married to Donna (Deckert) Holiday, father to Jana Holiday, Lainey Holiday Wonch (married to Jared), Marisa Holiday (married to Ashok Khadka) and Jarin Holiday (married to Inna Holiday). 

His grandchildren, Amos and Mara Khadka and Bridger Wonch were a delight to him.

After graduating from the University of Montana, Jerry did two tours of duty in Vietnam, rising to the rank of captain in the U.S. Marine Corps and then settled in the metro Washington, D.C. area, working for a private contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense until he retired in 2021. 

A faithful member of Forcey Bible Church for 43 years, Jerry spent decades teaching Sunday school.

Although life took him away from Libby, there was no doubt Montana was always home to him and the place he loved best. 

A service was held last summer in Maryland and Jerry will be interred at the Libby Cemetery in Libby, Montana at 11 a.m. July 24, 2024.
