Dennis Leroy Norstebon

Dennis Leroy Norstebon was born in Libby, Montana on Dec. 10, 1957, and passed peacefully at home on June 22, 2024, at the age of 66.

Dennis was true outdoorsman, a jack of all trades. His hobbies he loved were camping, hunting, fishing, logging, cutting and splitting firewood, welding and watching his birds out of his window. 

While entertaining family and friends his favorite thing of all was huckleberry picking and being at Huckleberry Camp. Dennis was a hard-working man, a family man, a true and honest friend to all who knew and loved him.

Dennis had a big blended family through his marriage with Ramona. They had four daughters. Dennis spent 20 years with the love of his life, Larissa, and they shared three sons and help raise his grandson Brady. 

Dennis’ favorite thing to do was spend time with family, his children and grandchildren. They were his most valuable treasures. He loved all the memories he made with all of them. Dennis will be missed and was loved dearly. 

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Ida Norstebon, sister Shirley Norstebon, brother Larry Norstebon, nephews Christopher and Danny Drake, niece Christine Schultz, grandson Brandon Murer, sister-in-law Carrie Norstebon and brother-in-law Jerry Snyder.

Dennis is survived by his brothers: Dale Norstebon, Marvin (Kathi) Norstebon, sisters: Carolyn Norstebon and Linda Snyder; daughters: Misty Norstebon, Shannon (TJ) Lafley, Debra (Neal) Norstebon, Jennifer (Travis) Risley; and sons: Tylin (Cheyenne) Bates, Levi (Cassie) DeCelles, Cary (Kayla) Welch and first wife Ramona Dillman, love of his life for 20 years, Larissa Bates. Dennis has 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be open to all who loved Dennis at the Columbus Center Chapel at 4 p.m. Aug. 9. The chapel is located at 1601 2nd Ave. N, Great Falls MT 59401.
